Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SK)

Mangaluru, Apr 24: Eid ul-Fitr is one of the most fortunate festivals for Muslims. It signifies the wrapping up of Ramadan, the holiest month in Islam.

Eid festival was celebrated at Srinivas Saffron Hotel Hampankatta.

Chef of Hotel Saffron created a variety of snacks, including bread sticks with mustard sauce, paneer and cheese balls, veg kati rolls, exotic shahi, tukda topped with pistachios, rice kheer with rose petals, semiya payasam and mango smoothie (freshly Diced). The taste sense and hunger are enhanced by the addition of sweet mangoes to fresh fruit and mango ice cream.

The occurrence of Eid is often observed by the Indian Muslim community a day later than it is in Saudi Arabia. Eid celebrations are typically huge affairs, with family gathering for feast.
