Mangaluru: Sexual harassment of minor girl – Accused acquitted

Mangaluru, Apr 25: Justice Radhakrishna of second special Pocso and additional district and sessions court acquitted an accused in the case of sexually harassing a minor girl.

A case was registered against Veeresh, native of Koppal, residing at Kodical in the city, accusing him of sexually harassing a minor girl of neighbour, who were also of Koppal origin, in August 2022.

Justice Radhakrishna, who conducted the inquiry, pronounced that the prosecution had failed to prove the guilt of accused Veeresh and acquitted him.

Dinesh Shetty, lawyer of Dakshina Kannada district legal services authority, argued for the accused.
