Mangaluru: Father accused of sexually harassing minor daughters acquitted

Mangaluru, Apr 25: The court here, acquitted a man, who was accused of sexually harassing his own minor daughters.

Abdul Hakim (48), resident of Katipalla, is the accused who was acquitted by the court.

Two daughters of Hakim had filed two separate cases in women police stations of the city, accusing their father of sexually abusing them when they were minors. The court had acquitted the accused in the case filed by his younger daughter two months ago.

In the case that was filed by the elder daughter, the inquiry was conducted by justice K M Radhakrishna of additional sessions and second FTSC POCSO court of the city and pronounced the accused as not guilty due to lack of proof and witnesses.

Asif Baikadi, Mohammed Asgar Mudipu, Rubiya Akhtar, Srinidhi Prakash and Nireeksha of Lex Juries Law chamber of the city argued for the accused.
