Bantwal, Apr 25: "I have the satisfaction of bringing a Rs. 5,000 crore development package during my tenure as a minister in the Siddaramaiah cabinet from 2013 to 2018," said B Ramanath Rai, the Congress candidate and former minister from Bantwal. He made this statement during a house visit in Kanyana.

"Significant development work was done in Bantwal during my term. Unfortunately, I was defeated by propaganda during the previous election. However, I am confident that people will not be influenced by such tactics this time. The Congress is preparing for a landslide victory," he added.

Former zilla panchayat member M S Mohammed Panemangalore, block Congress president Sudeep Kumar Shetty, panchayat raj district president Subhaschandra Shetty Kolnadu, Kanyana block Congress president Abdul Majeed Kanyana, Panchayat president Abdul Rehman, member Krishna Naik, Moidin Mandkoor, Moidin Haji Bairikatte, Gangadhar Kanyana, Kasim Mundkoor, Khader D K, Vasanth Belchada Panjaje, Usman Settibettu, Ibrahim Konale, Aboobacker Angri, Ganesh Kumar, Arpini, and others were also present during the event.
