Bantwal, Apr 25: During an election inspection at the Farangipet check post, inspectors detected an instance of cash transportation without proper documentation on Tuesday, April 25.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, a total of Rs 3 lac was discovered, and when questioned about the origin of the cash, the owner was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. As a result, the inspectors confiscated the money.
The staff at the Bantwal rural police station discovered the cash and promptly handed it over to the election verification committee for further investigation.
The probe is currently underway.
