Bantwal: Labourer slips, falls to death into lake

Bantwal, Apr 26: A labourer slipped, fell in the lake and died at Vamadapadav here.

The deceased is identified as Vasu Poojary (52), a resident of Paledady, Ajjibettu grama, Vamadapadav. He was working in the house cultivation of late Paledadi Raghupathi Bhat when he slipped and fell in the lake.

His co-workers informed the house people within a short time. Local leader Dinesh Shetty Dambedar and his group searched in the lake, lifted him up and tried to rescue him. However he died unable to get revived, it is said.

Bantwal rural station police visited the spot and registered a case.
