Mangaluru, Apr 28: In a press publication, Moolageni Rakshana Vedike asked the tenants to be cautious in their move and do not hasten.

In a publication, Maxim D’Silva, president of the forum said, “Law giving complete rights to Moolageni holders is implemented in 2012. The Mulidaars are trying their best to bring stay in one form or the other to this act. On April 21, final arguments are heard and the court will give its final order in June 2023 after the yearly court vacation.

“The forum is fighting for the Moolageni holders since 2008 and the final verdict is expected to be pronounced in June 2023. It has come to light that certain vested interests are misusing the situation.

“None of the Moolageni tenants should hasten but wait for the Verdi t of honourable high court and take every step cautiously.”

    Its been a very long wait for the Mulgeni tenants to breathe what they were fighting for. We hope that justice will be served by the high court of Karnataka and a positive verdict will be out immediately after the court vacation.

    Finally, the verdict came, and mulageni holders won the case after 13-plus years. Mooladar will get 500 times of the annual rent for the right and in rare cases of the clause, they will receive 1000 times the yearly annual rent. It is a landmark judgment by Justice Krishna Dixit's bench after a hearing of more than 27 sessions at the Karnataka High Court Bangalore on 22 May 2023.
