Kaup, April 28: The BJP's Vijay Sankalpa chariot march was flagged off here today amidst shouting of slogans towards development of a new Kaup. MLA Lalaji Mendon and BJP candidate Gurme Suresh Shetty inaugurated it together.
MLA Lalaji Mendon said that the constituency that was won by BJP last time should be won again with a huge margin and should make it a number one constituency in Karnataka. “Everybody should vote for the symbol of lotus for it,” he said.
Delhi MLA Vijayendra Gupta said that the victory is certain if the work at Shakti centres is conducted smoothly. “Lalaji and Gurme are working like Rama and Laxman for the victory,” he said.
Kaup BJP president Srikanth Nayak, election in-charge Sulochana Bhat, Udupi district ladies morcha president Veena Shetty, party leaders and a large number of party workers were present.
