Success story – Youth cracks IAS, resigns, teaches poor UPSC aspirants on banks of Ganga

Bihar, Oct 10: A young man who successfully passed the country's toughest IAS exam later resigned from his IAS officer position to engage in the noble work of coaching IAS aspirants from the economically disadvantaged sections of society.

Arun Kumar runs his coaching center on the banks of the Ganges in Bihar. He believes that financial constraints should not hinder anyone aspiring to take the IAS examination. He is an IAS officer from the 1994 batch who provides free coaching to underprivileged IAS aspirants.

Arun Kumar prepared for the IAS exams on his own without seeking any coaching, passed the exam, and secured a good position. He is an alumnus of the prestigious St Xavier's College in Ranchi.

Arun Kumar's wife, Ritu Jaiswal, is a social worker who inspired him to leave his IAS job and start coaching IAS aspirants who cannot afford expensive IAS coaching classes. He now conducts outdoor classes on the banks of the Ganges every morning. By conducting outdoor classes, Arun does not require funding for building an infrastructure to teach his students.

Arun Kumar stands out as a rare individual who gave up a lucrative job for a social cause. Passing the UPSC examination requires months of hard work and dedication. However, despite successfully passing the UPSC exam and securing an IAS job, Arun Kumar chose to help less privileged members of society achieve their aspirations, prioritizing their growth over his own.
