Mangalore, Sep 23: The twin-districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi basked in sunshine on Thursday September. However, there were some drizzles at night.

Subrahmanya in Sullia taluk, which received rain every day since the last about five months, remained dry on Thursday. Light rain was experienced at a few places in Uttara Kannada district.

The meteorological department has predicted light to normal rainfall in most places in coastal Karnataka, several places in southern hinterland, and a few places in northern hinterland during the period till Saturday morning.
