Kundapur: Fisherman Slips While Fishing, Drowns

Kundapur, Sep 23: Koragu Mogaveera (63) from Kody village near here, drowned in the sea off Gangolli fishing jetty on Thursday September 22.

Reportedly, Mogaveera slipped while spreading the net, fell into the sea, and drowned. The fishermen immediately undertook rescue operation, but could not save his life. His body was brought to the shore in the fishing boat in which he had travelled.

Gangolli police sub-inspector, M Gopal Naik, assistant sub-inspector, Babanna, and other personnel visited the spot, registered a case, and arranged for post mortem.
