Bantwal, Sep 27: In an incident reported from B C Road here on Monday September 26, a person who was remanded to judicial custody ran away after pushing away his police escorts.

Imran Kode (30), a resident of Farangipet, was wanted in connection with certain cases. He remained elusive for a long time, and the court had issued arrest warrant against him. The policemen had succeeded in tracing him recently after prolonged efforts. He was taken into custody by the policemen from the residence of his relative in Maripalla on Sunday.

On Monday, he was produced in the court. Even though bail application was moved on behalf of the accused, the court rejected bail, and remanded him to judicial custody. When the policemen were escorting him towards their vehicle for being taken to Mangalore, he suddenly pushed the policemen and ran away. The policemen have begun efforts afresh to trace him.

    Well done Kode you are a real hero,
    the negligence of policemen cost them your freedom. I have seen these policemen transpoting convicts, they take them in such a freindly manner as if they are their relatives.

    How the police can run behind him with the big belly.Most of the Indian police are not physically fit to be in police force.They should retire and fresh young should be recruited with a good salary so they perform duty with honesty.
