Udupi, Sep 27: The department of commerce of Manipal University organized a seminar on 'Entrepreneurship and Social Empowerment' in association with Hanuman Charitable Trust, here on Monday September 26 at the department of commerce auditorium.

Vilas Nayak, managing trustee and CEO of Hanuman Motors Pvt Ltd delivered the seminar. In his address, Vilas stressed about youths dropping out from the family business and entering the corporate world. He stressed on various opportunities that the youth should utilize in turning out himself a dynamic entrepreneur. He said that today’s entrepreneur should always aim at being socially responsible. He also stressed on the need for every entrepreneur to be a social entrepreneur rather than just aiming at profit maximization.

Sandeep S Shenoy, head of the department of commerce welcomed the gathering. Seminar coordinator and faculty Guru Prasad Rao introduced the key speaker. Vikarm Baliga, faulty delivered the vote of thanks.
