Udupi: Dr Gabriel Rodrigues Gets 'Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow' Award

Udupi, Sep 28: Dr Gabriel Rodrigues, professor and unit chief of the department of surgery, Kasturba Medical College (KMC) and hospital, Manipal has been awarded the 'Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow'.

The degree will be conferred on November 9 2011 at Glasgow.

Dr Rodrigues basically hails from Chikmagalur Parish and now belongs to Manipal Parish.

Having completed his MBBS from St John’s Medical College, Bangalore he post graduated from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He was awarded the prestigious 'Prem Nath Berry Educational Trust Scholarship' by the High Commission of India, London for specialized surgical training in surgery and has been trained in Hepatobiliary and Breast Surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals, Nottingham, UK.
