Moodbidri, Sep 29: MLA Abhayachandra Jain inaugurated a flag pole donated by Anil Lobo, president of Lions Club, at Anganawadi centre in Aremajalupalke, in Badaga Mijar village under Tenka Mijar gram panchayat, on Wednesday September 28.
He said that Anganawadi centres are being set up in every village inspiring parents to send their children to study in schools. “India is developing fast with potential for students, irrespective of their economic background, to pursue studies in specialized fields,” added Jain.
Lobo presided over the programme and was felicitated by Anganawadi staff. Puttige gram panchayat president Sasidar Nayak was the chief guest on the occasion.
Bala Vikas Samiti president Prakash and Lions Club vice-president B S Gowda were also present.
