Mangalore: Chain Snatcher Caught, Handed over to Police

Mangalore, Sep 30: A man who snatched a silver chain of a temple priest mistaking it for gold at Pavanje, near Haleyangadi here on Thursday September 29 was caught by local men who later handed him over to police.

Keshava Acharya of Pavanje temple was returning after performing puja at temple and while he was on his way a man assaulted him and snatched away the silver chain from him.



 

When the priest screamed for help two men who were in travelling in the bike came to his aid and caught the thief. The other people nearby soon gathered and found out that his name was Ganesh Shetty and he was from Karkala.

Later they handed him over to the police for investigations.

    COP SMILES BECAUSE PEOPLE HANDED OVER THE CHAIN SNATCHER TO HIS CUSTODY. POOR PUBLIC DOES NOT KNOW THESE COPS ARE HAND IN GLOVE WITH SUCH PEOPLE AND THEY HAVE THEIR SHARE OUT OF THE PROCEEDS. OTHERWISE WHAT IS HIS ACHIEVEMENT TO LAUGH AT THAT SITUATION.
    GANESH SHETTY IS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE IN THE SAFE CUSTODY OF COPS.
