Bantwal: Gored by Cow, Woman Breathes Her Last

Bantwal, Oct 1: A woman from Kamata near Vittal lost her life late evening on Thursday September 29, after the horns of a cow she was rearing, pierced through her abdomen. The victim has been identified as Muttu (70), wife of Sankappa Madiwala from Kamata in Vittal gram panchayat.

Muttu was collecting firewood near her home, when her cow for some inexplicable reason, raced towards her and hit her hard with its horns. The old lady, who suffered serious injuries, was immediately taken to Puttur hospital. After providing initial treatments there, she was rushed to a hospital in Mangalore, but she succumbed to her injuries late night on Thursday.

Muttu is survived by husband, three daughters, and a son.
