Mangalore, Oct 1: After a tipper hit two women near Sahyadri College in Adyar on national highway 75 near here on the night of Friday September 30, a woman died. Another women suffered serious injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Manjavva (32). Suvarna, who was with her, was injured. She was admitted into a hospital in the city. Both of them are labourers of north Karnataka origin.
Both of them were walking by the road when the tipper hit them. Tipper driver fled from the scene. The vehicle was confiscated by the personnel of Mangalore rural police station A case was also registered relating to the incident.
