Moodbidri: Retired Prof Dr Ramachandra Inaugurates Office of Alvas Nudisiri - 2011

Moodbidri, Oct 1: The retired Kannada professor Dr Ramachandra on Friday September 30 inaugurated office of Alvas Nudisiri – 2011, a national cultural extravaganza, which will be organized by Alvas Education Foundation from November 11 to 13.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Ramachandra said that Alvas Nudisiri has been a much awaited cultural extravaganza that has grown in significance as that of Kannada Sahitya Sammelan.  It has been promoting national unity in diversity, said Dr Ramachandra.
The litterateurs should not forget that they have social responsibility, added Dr Ramachandra.


The renowned Kannada litterateur Baragoor Ramachandrappa will inaugurate Alvas Nudisiri – 2011 that is themed on Kannada minds – conflict and harmony, here on November 11. The well known Kannada litterateur M M Kalaburgi will preside over the programme.

Kannada theater artiste Dr Na Damodar Shetty urged the people to make the success of national programme for global recognition. Dr Satyanarayan Mallipatna said that Dr Mohan Alva’s vision had come true in the past Nudisiri programmes, while this year’s theme – Kannada in conflict emerge as sounding proof of maturity.

Alvas Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva inspired the gathering to make the programme a great success. Dhananjay Kumble compered the programme.  T A R Kandige proposed the vote of thanks.
