Bhatkal: Fisherman Falls off the Boat, Dies

Bhatkal, Oct 1: A fisherman who ventured into the sea to earn his daily bread, fell off the boat here on Saturday October 1 at 4.30 am.

The fisherman is identified as Nithyananda aged 26, son of Krishna Kharvi. He went for fishing in a boat named Jai Gurudar. He fell from the boat as he lost balance and slipped.



 

His dead body was recovered within half an hour from the time he went missing. At 9.30 am post mortem was done. A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station on this regard.
