Kaup: State govt's guarantee schemes to reach every beneficiary - Dr Pushpa Amarnath

Media Release

Kaup, Jan 11: “It is important to ensure that the state government's ambitious five guarantee schemes reach eligible beneficiaries effectively. Implementing these schemes with 100 percent efficiency is the primary responsibility of committee members and officials,” said Dr Pushpa Amarnath, vice president of the Karnataka state guarantee implementation authority.

Dr Pushpa Amarnath, speaking at the inauguration of the Kaup Taluk Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee office and the first meeting held in Kaup on January 10, said, “The government has introduced these schemes to empower women economically in a male-dominated society and ensure gender equality. These initiatives must benefit more eligible individuals.”

Dr Pushpa stressed that only with public-oriented commitment and the willpower of officials can government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. “Regular reviews at the taluk level every month and submitting progress reports to the district and state levels are essential duties of the officials,” she added.

Officials must work proactively to bring the state's five guarantee schemes to the doorsteps of the public. Quarterly guarantee adalat should be organized by committee members along with departmental officials to address and resolve any lapses or challenges in implementing the schemes directly, Pushpa directed.

Speaking on the occasion, former minister and Congress leader Vinay Kumar Sorake stressed that beneficiaries should be well-informed about the benefits they are entitled to. "In the coming days, conferences on guarantee schemes will be organized in every gram panchayat jurisdiction to hear public grievances and ensure proper implementation of these schemes," he assured.

Ashok Kodavoor, president of the District Guarantee Committee, remarked, "The government has introduced these schemes to address common people's problems. Proper implementation is vital to ensure they are effective and impactful. Good initiatives play a significant role in shaping people's lives."

The program was presided over by Naveen Chandra S Suvarna, president of the Kaup Taluk Guarantee Scheme Committee. He pledged, "With the belief that serving the people is serving God, I will strive for 100 percent implementation of the schemes. Both officials and the public need to be actively involved."

On this occasion, a pamphlet regarding the special registration campaign under the Yuva Nidhi Scheme was released. Identity cards were distributed to members of the Taluk Committee, and beneficiaries shared their experiences about the schemes.

Kaup taluk panchayat executive officer James D’Silva welcomed the gathering, and Prashant Havanaje compered the programme.

The event was attended by Kaup taluk tahsildar Pratibha, Urban Planning Authority president Vikram, standing committee chairman Anil Kumar, district women and child development officer Anuradha Hadimane, Kaup Taluk Guarantee Scheme Committee members Keerthi Kumar, S V Vijay, Reenvinutha D’Souza, Savita Kundar, Rashmitha, Roshan Kumar, Lava Karkera, Udaya C, Prabhakar Acharya, Hasanabba Sheik, Mahesh Shetty, Raj Mullya, Sudeer Karkera, Hasan Bava and Poornima J C.
