Guru Randhawa injured on ‘Shaunki Sardar’ set, hospitalized after stunt mishap

Mumbai, Feb 24: Popular Punjabi singer-actor Guru Randhawa has been hospitalized after suffering injuries while filming an action sequence for his upcoming film ‘Shaunki Sardar.’

Randhawa shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, posting a photo from the hospital where he is seen lying on a bed with a cervical collar and head bandage.

“My first stunt, my first injury, but my spirit remains unbroken. A memory from the sets of 'Shaunki Sardar'. Bahut mushkil kamm aa action waala, but will work hard for my audience,” he wrote.

Fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section, wishing him a speedy recovery. Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa also extended his best wishes to the singer-actor.

Directed by Dheeraj Rattan, Shaunki Sardar also features Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and is set for a May 16 release in theatres.
