Mangaluru, Mar 1: A free chair yoga camp, organized by Devika Yoga Centre, concluded on February 28 at Subrahmanya Sadan, Jail Road, Mangaluru. The camp, which began on December 7, featured extensive yoga sessions led by yoga instructor Devika Purushotham.
The valedictory event was graced by chief guests Aruru Asha and Prof Vrishabharaj Jain. Around 30 participants shared their experiences, highlighting the positive changes the camp brought to their personalities.




Devika Purushotham not only guided the yoga sessions but also shared valuable insights into physical and mental health at the end of each class. She emphasized simple yet powerful life lessons to make life more beautiful, such as, "We forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because we need peace of mind." Her humorous and engaging approach kept the participants motivated throughout the sessions.
The camp saw participants of all ages, from teenagers to seniors up to 70 years old, benefiting from the unique blend of yoga and life teachings.
The closing ceremony featured a bhajan program by Shri Annapoorneshwari Blind Geetha Gaayana Kala Sangha (Regd). During the event, Devika Purushotham donated grocery supplies to support the blind arts group for six months.
The event was compered by Mallika Maroli, with Devika Purushotham delivering the welcome address and Asha Shenai proposing the vote of thanks.
