Mumbai, Mar 10: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan marked the 8th anniversary of his hit film Badrinath Ki Dulhania on Monday, calling it an "amazing film" that remains close to his heart.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Varun shared nostalgic moments from the 2017 romantic comedy, which also starred Alia Bhatt. One image featured the duo playfully posing against a blue door, with Alia in a patterned dress and white cropped jacket, while Varun sported a casual T-shirt and jeans. The text on the image read: "8 Years of Badrinath Ki Dulhania."

Another behind-the-scenes snap captured a romantic moment between the co-stars, with a film camera in the foreground. Expressing gratitude, Varun wrote: "8 years to such an amazing film and character. Thank you for the endless love. #BadrinathKiDulhania."

Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Badrinath Ki Dulhania was a spiritual successor to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). The film told the story of an ambitious young woman determined to break free from societal norms, despite the controlling nature of her fiancé.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is reuniting with Shashank Khaitan for his upcoming project, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. The film, backed by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Khaitan, boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Akshay Oberoi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Abhinav Sharma, Maniesh Paul, and Manini Chadha.

With Badrinath Ki Dulhania still holding a special place in fans’ hearts, Varun continues to entertain audiences with his diverse film choices.
