Los Angeles, Aug 1: Actor Jacob Batalon, best known for playing Ned Leeds, the best friend of Peter Parker in the Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, has married his longtime partner, interior designer Veronica Leahov.

According to People magazine, the couple recently tied the knot after being engaged since March 2025.

Jacob and Veronica were recently seen together at the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in which Batalon reprises his role alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal.

The marriage had been the subject of speculation after Batalon appeared wearing a wedding band during recent public appearances, including the film's premiere. Veronica also fuelled speculation by updating her surname on her website to "Veronica Leahov Batalon."

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram in March 2025, sharing photographs from Batalon's proposal in New York City with the caption, "The beginning of the rest of our lives together."

In a recent interview with Tom Holland and Zendaya, Batalon jokingly referred to Veronica as his wife while discussing nicknames, further hinting at their marriage before it was publicly confirmed.

The wedding coincides with the successful release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has opened to record-breaking collections.

According to reports, the film recorded the highest-ever earnings from paid previews, collecting around $72 million and surpassing the previous record set by Avengers: Endgame.

The latest instalment follows Peter Parker as he continues his life as Spider-Man in a world where no one remembers his true identity, while facing new threats and villains.

Released in India on July 30, a day ahead of its US release, the film reportedly became the biggest Hollywood opener in the country, surpassing the opening-day collections of Avengers: Endgame and Tom Holland's The Odyssey. It earned an estimated ?60 crore net on its opening day in India.

The film is also expected to post one of the biggest opening weekends in the United States, with industry estimates projecting earnings of around $250-260 million. Worldwide, it is expected to comfortably cross the $500 million mark during its extended opening weekend, with some projections placing its debut as high as $800 million.
