Bangalore, Apr 28: In a heart-wrenching incident, seven persons belonging to a single family died after a car hit a parked truck at around 1.30 am on Sunday April 27. The incident occurred near Gopasandra, Krishnagiri near Hosur in Tamil Nadu.

We can't blame anyone other than our-self.
When the speed limit of the road 80-100 kms/hr speed, the vehicles we have are with 220-240 kms/hr. The toll gate collects a huge money and the fee charge time to time, the road works is going on for quite sometime, when the road is not ready as shown above, not sure why the money is collected. Anyway the local politician has exception to these toll gates. Dont want to see it as a political issue, its a common mans human rights in stake.

when you study this Gorey picture .you can understand how deep is the ROT/ Corruption, in our country..beyond words..look at the -quality of the roads
    - no rules -how can the vehicle be stranded ion middle of the road it should be on shoulder?
    if there is any?
-where are the Standards ad specifications while building roads?
    who is responsible ?
all local politicain s..road builders..architects ..HANG THEM FIRST IMMEDIATELY.As they are responsible for the death of innocent lives.they take bribes/commission and approve sub standards ..KACHRA construction.
    LOUSY and THIRD rate...
Shot all on the same spot ..those who are responsible this is the only way .....like in china.

Driving license issuing should be made much more rigid so that no one dare to violate the road norms.

Condolences to the near & dear ones of victims. May God give strength to overcome the pain and sorrow they going through, not loss of one but the whole family.
We only can give reasons, we are a few days visitors in this world. no one is permanently here.
Our days are counted only by almighty God, who can neglect when God is calling home, even forcibly cannot stop

It's really sad. May God give peace to their souls.
@ Ethan - Please dont generalize. It's not because of negligence and being lazy. It's bcos there are no stringent punishments for the guilty. The guilty think they can get away with bribing, etc. Besides judicial process is too slow. the moment the vehicles of the guilty are impounded and imprisonment given, then everything will improve.

Time has come to have a triangular warning sign, onboard every vehicle. In case of breakdown half way on the road ateast driver can place sign board behind the vehicle a few meters away so that vehicle approaching it can manouver easily. During night its reflects due to radium as well.May their souls rest in peace.

We can't blame fate for this. This utter negligence from heavy vehicle owners, drivers and RTO and Police put together. I have noticed that 80% trucks travelling in Karnataka and particularly in Mangalore do not have a tail light. They are parked at night on the roads without a reflective hazard sign on the rear! even when a Truck had to stopped on the road at night for mechanical problem, there is absolutely no signage or light or any danger signal put up. This applies to local City buses as well . we see numerous incidents every day when a bus is stopped suddenly in the middle of the busy road to pick passenger instead of designated bus stop without a taillight. Several two wheeler's and other vehicles ramming them from the rear. When the authorities wake up and maintain strict traffic rules, only then we can avoid these gruesome accidents.

    Roads under repair,
    High speed,
    Poor visibility at night,
Wrong parking by the truck driver were the reasons for the accident.
Very sad to hear the news.

In India no importance is given to tail lights/vehicle lights. The hazard lights are important. Police should check all the vehicles.
May the souls of all the departed rest in peace.
