It is indeed a very rare privilege for Archbishop Bernard to be present at The canonization of two past Popes. If I recall Archbishop Bernard was present at the Mangalore Airport when Pope John Paul II made his historic trip to Mangalore. It is said that it was first visit of a Pope to the city which is termed as THE ROME OF THE EAST.

It is such a special day in Catholic History. Two Popes becoming Saints and two popes( though one retired)presence on this special day is really great. I am sure, it must be a mistake to say 800 Million Pilgrims attended. Should be a typing error. If rectified would be great.
