The Indian Railway should modify the bogey entry door so that the door or a security grill slide from the top to shut the door to avoid anybody being thrown out of the running train. It will check the illegal entry of miscreants and forceful throwing of passengers from the train by the goondas or rowdies.
There should be CCTV camera in every bogey to review the activities of the bogey during later investigations.
    Jai Hind!

    RIP!!

Elsewhere in another site it is mentioned that it is a case of suicide!!

Now, it is a myth to say that people who are highly qualified and well off are immune to committing suicide, it depends on the time and circumstances!! God only knows the inside story if at all it is suicide as reported somewhere else!!

So as per you.. one has to be a Urchin to travel on Foot-board huh ? And people doesnt reserve ticket to travel to K'god from Mlore, they use general compartments and it will be jam packed all the time. most of the commuters avoid buses and use train here. Come to mlore and see it yourself . It includes Professors, Doctors, Engineers etc

Surprising... but very sad. A wife and mother is no more. no idea what's the cause. Many suspects like robbery, murder, theft ... current days any thing might have happened. So, if our police is capable of , they can derive the actual fact what happened... RIP

My heart goes out to her family members. Imagine losing a pillar
of the family and absolutely with no clue. What would be their state of mind?
Nothing connected with our Railways is safe these days. You travel , you die by way of accidents, sabotage ,not sure whether you will reach your destination. On the other, paying revised fares might give you a jolt ,resulting in a cardiac arrest or heart attack and who knows your final 'ticket' may be given to you...

Why only robbery? There are men filled with lust for women. If she has boarded the train at Kasargod, which reaches Mangalore without any stops in between, the chances of this act are bright during the duration of one hour journey.

@Jossy, never happened before, it does not mean it can never happen at all. In mumbai there are so many cases where people have just fallen off the local train. Can never always assume on some basis. It cab be pushed off case, scuffle in ornament snatch case, suicide from running train etc. Not necessary to travel on foot board to fall off. Any way may her soul R.I.P
