Dubai, Oct 1: UAE’s one of the leading firms owned by Harish Sherigar ‘ACME Building Materials’, celebrated 15th anniversary in Crown Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, recently.
UAEs’ noted personalities, businessmen and well-wishers witnessed this function and appreciated the activities of Harish Sherigar, managing director of ACME building materials and the president of Devadiga Sangha.
Harish Sherigar, along with other guests, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Sherigar’s birthday was also celebrated on the occasion.
Entrepreneur Hasan Darvish, Vijay Nehalani, Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Vasthu specialist Ashok Purohit, Sanath Shetty, Dharmapal Devadiga, Sarvotham Shetty, Sharmila Sherigar wife of Harish Sherigar , Akshata Sherigar, Anshul, Dinesh Sherigar, Sunil Dutt Pai among others were present for the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Vamana Maraoli described Sherigar’s social concern and development work for the community.
Rajgopal and his team performed the orchestra. Arabic belly dance, songs from famous singers Sinchan Dexit, Ravi Mururu, Ranjan Das, Akshatha Rao, Melvin D'Souza, Joshal and Harish Sherigar entertained the viewers. Madhu and Anil compered.
ACME's 15 fruitful years:
In the year 1999, Harish Sherigar with his innovative business acumen, focused vision, professionalism and experienced vocation, started his business, named ACME Building Materials Trading. LLC is a well-known market listed as a comprehensive company in Dubai with a branch in Ral Al Kaimah & Sultanate of Oman. He has been instrumental in taking this organization to its present level of growth in an amazing short span of time. He also owns a real estate firm named ‘Harsha Residency’ in his home town.
Sherigar is an active philanthropist funding numerous humanitarian projects and charities as well as being personally involved in them.
His larger than life persona continues to win hearts all over Dubai by organizing a charity show called ‘Dhoom Dhamaka’. He has been supporting poor students in their education and poor people in bearing their medical expenses. The first charity show ‘Dhoom Dhamaka’ was held in 2011. The main motive was to help the underprivileged and needy back home in India. The revenue from the show was contributed to charity institutions like Saanidya School and Mangala Education Trust. His contribution towards charity was never restricted to any particular region or community. Recognizing his service to the society Karnataka Sangha Sharjah awarded him the prestigious Mayura Prashasty in 2012.
His contribution for the needy was not just restricted to India but he also extended his helping hand to disabled people in UAE. The second charity show held in 2013 and its proceedings were contributed to Rashid Paediatric Therapy centre, Dubai. Various departments of govt of Dubai such as Rashid Paediatric centre, Dubai police, Dubai municipality and Chamber of Commerce have recognized his services and appreciated him. The list of his contributions towards individuals, organizations, cultural institutions, ashrams and orphanages are endless.
Today, ACME Building Materials has emerged as one of the fastest growing company in its field. The company has customer’s network throughout the globe. In its 15th year company is being shifted to its own new building at Ras Al Khoor Indiustrial, Al Aweer.
In fact every activity, cultural or social in his native place or in the Gulf region, he has shown his benevolence which clearly underlines his human nature and his steadfastness to stay attuned to his cultural roots. His success coupled with his aspirations to give back to the society, is something that needs to be appreciated and emulated.
