New Delhi, April 9 (IANS): Automobile manufacturer Renault India on Thursday launched its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Lodgy at an introductory price range of Rs.8.19 lakh-Rs.11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
"It (Lodgy) comes with features and services that are people-centric, addressing real customer needs and will cater to a diverse set of customers," said Sumit Sawhney, country chief executive and managing director, Renault India Operations.
"We have priced it extremely competitively, and are confident that Lodgy will create a new segment in the Indian automotive industry, as we have successfully done with Duster in the recent past."
The Lodgy comes with two engine options. The more powerful diesel variant sports a 1.5 litre dCi engine which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This variant gives a fuel mileage of 19.98 kms per litre.
The alternate variant of the same 1.5 litre dCi engine -- though less power-packed -- gives a fuel efficiency of 21.04 kms per litre.
The company said it has grown its network presence to more than 157 facilities across the country.
