M'lore: Konkani Writers' Forum to hold Residential Camp on Dec 1 & 2

Mangalore, Oct 24: Konkani Writers' Forum has organized a two-day residential camp, for those who aspire for changes in Konkani literature, which has been changing rapidly in the midst of modernization and growth.  The camp also intends to a venue for budding writers and Forum members to shape literary ideas towards the set objectives with the literary contributors. 

This camp will be held from Saturday December 1 at 3-00 p m to Sunday December 2 at 4-00 p m.  It will be held in picturesque ‘Rishivana’, a Carmelite spiritual centre at Ranipura.

The resource persons from the literary field of other languages would provide information, training on creative literary avenues and styles besides conducting debate.  For those who desire to attend the camp, it is mandatory to spend Saturday night at ‘Rishivana’. 

The camp will be restricted to only 30 persons.  All those wish to attend the camp are advised to write an essay on ‘Why I write’ or ‘What Inspires Me to Write’ on foolscap paper and send to: Srajana-2007, C/o Mithr weekly, 3rd floor, Emporium Complex, Kankanady, Mangalore – 575 002, latest by Thursday November 15.  Based on the essays the camp participants will be selected and informed of camp and provided assistance personally.
