Mangalore, Oct 25: Seventh national conference of the Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology (FNHO) and pre- conference workshop will be organized by the department of Otolaryngology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC) and Karavali branch of AOI, Mangalore, Prof Kishore Chandra Prasad, organizing secretary, informed the media persons during the press conference held here on Wednesday, October 24.
The inauguration will be held on Thursday October 25 at 7 pm at TMA Pai International Convention Center in the city, he informed.
The conference and pre-conference workshop will be inaugurated by Dr V S Acharya, former minister for medical education. Ananthakrishna, chairman, Karnataka Bank Ltd will be the chief guest and Dr H S Ballal, vice-chancellor, Manipal University will preside over the function.
The conference will be held from October 25 to October 28. World-renowned surgeons and international faculty have been invited while senior consultants from all over India like Manipal University, AIIMS, Tata Memorial Hospital and from other reputed universities and institutions will participate in the conference, he added.
Over 500 eminent head and neck surgeons from India and abroad will deliver their guest lectures and orations, during the conference. A pre-conference live surgical workshop will be organized on October 25, he stated.
Dr Rajashekharan Warrier will release the souvenir and over 500 delegates are expected to participate in the proceedings, he added.
