Mangalore, Oct 26:  Altogether 4 students were injured when the roof of a bus shelter, located in front of St Agnes College, in the city collapsed on Thursday October 25 afternoon.

Sources said that, the roof collapsed when the labourers of some advertisement agency were putting up a hoarding on the bus shelter. The rear pillars supporting the bus shelter gave way with the weight of labourers at one corner.

This resulted in damaging the roof which ultimately collapsed.  As a result, 4 students of St Agnes who were waiting for the bus in the bus shelter were injured. Eyewitnesses said that, one of them was severely injured when the asbestos sheet crashed on her waist. All the injured were taken to the nearby hospital at once.
