Udupi, Oct 26: Yashodha, an accused in the Edu encounter that took place near Karkala on November 17, 2003 expressed her apprehension that she may be killed in some other fake encounter by the police.

Speaking to press persons before attending court, here on Thursday October 25, she requested that she should be absolved by the court of all charges against her.

The reason for this, she contended was that she was only fighting against atrocities committed against women and creating awareness amongst them. Further she reiterated that she was in no way connected to the Naxalite movement in the state.

The members of the Anti-Naxalite Force (ANF) armed with rifles were visiting her house and torturing her, she alleged.
