Udupi, Oct 26: Traffic on National Highway was disrupted after a huge branch of a tree along the highway fell on a moving container near Nagraj Estate at Padubidri here on Thursday October 25 evening.

The container trailer was plying towards Mangalore from Karwar on Thursday when the branch fell on it.  Though container broke in to two separate pieces like a wagon of the train, no casualties were reported.

Soon the Padubidri police arrived on the spot and along with the locals chopped the branch and cleared the road for traffic.
