Mangalore, Oct 29: A free health checkup on cardiac diseases was organized in Concetta Hospital, Kinnigoli in association with the cardiac department of Fr Muller Hospital and Sanjeevini Kinnigoli.

Dr H Prabhakar, Dr Sayyed and their team conducted the health checkup for around 130 people.
 
The camp was inagurated by Fr Muller institutions director Fr Patrick Rodrigues. In his inaugral address, he pointed out that the incidence of cardiac ailments had been on the increase in the country. People should become more aware of the preventive aspects of these problems.

Dr H Prabhakar was the chief guest on the occasion. He said the heart diseases were more common in males but at present it had been on the rise among the female population too.

Dr Sr Lillian presided over the function. Earlier, Dr Sr Jeevita welcomed the gathering. Sr Premlata proposed a vote of thanks. The programe was compered by Sr Agnesia.
