Mangalore: Three Sharp Shooters Arrested in City Lodge

Mangalore, Oct 29: The Bunder police headed by Vinay A Gaonkar, arrested 3 sharp shooters on Sunday, October 28 night, in connection with physical threat and demanding ‘Hafta’ from a builder in the city. 

The arrested have been identified as Syed Yusuf Ali (21) and Wasim Sheikh, residents of Lucknow and Mustaq Ahmed (26) resident of Pandeshwar here. The police also seized a loaded revolver from the arrested.

On receiving a sure tip-off, the police raided a lodge in city on Sunday night and arrested the trio. On interrogation, the arrested confessed that on the instruction of an underworld don, they have come to the city to collect ‘Hafta’ from a builder.

Few days ago, there was a rumor in the city that some sharp shooters have arrived in the city, on the instruction of an underworld don. Immediately after this news, the police began search operations in and around the city. Finally, they were successful in arresting these sharp shooters.

Bunder sub-inspector C Kiran, head constable Narayan Byndoor, constables Umesh Hosolike, Chethan, Damodar, Shashikant, Taranath and Jayaram were instrumental in nabbing the accused.

    If these people do this kind of acts for earning daily bread then Government should employ these sharp shooters in the army so they aim their guns at our enemies rather our own people. If they do for the sake of killing people then they should be jailed for life.
