Sullia, Nov 1: Prathvi, a college student who was shot few weeks ago, by a love-stricken neighbour in her locality at Gundlabana, Aranthod here is gradually recovering in a private hospital at Mangalore.
Vinod (30), son of Ramappa Gowda Deraje pumped in bullets Prathvi's body with his country gun after both the families opposed their marriage. After shooting Prathvi, Vinod ended his life by shooting himself.
While Vinod died on the spot, Prathvi who was seriously injured was admitted to taluk Government hospital and from then to a private hospital in Mangalore. After fighting against death in the hospital, Prathvi is said to have recovered and is out of danger, said her family sources.
