Udupi: No Politicians - DC Leads Rajyotsava Celebrations

Udupi, Nov 1: For the first time after the formation of district, Rajyotsava celebrations were held without the presence of politicians here. The deputy commissioner Ponnuraj officiated the district Rajyotsava on behalf of district administration on Thursday November 1.

Ponnuraj received guard of honour from KSRP, DAR, civil police, traffic police etc. However the district administration has not declared district-level Rajyotsav award this year.

Tahsildar Udaykumar Shetty, ZP CEO Hemalatha Ponnuraj, DySP Labu Ram and others were present on this occasion.
