Mangalore: Richard Pais Conferred with L P Memorial Award

Mangalore, Nov 1: Dr Richard Pais, head of department of social sciences, St Aloysius College, in the city has been presented with L P Memorial Award, for his yeoman's service in developing national-level social sciences and for his contribution to Indian social science association.

Dr Pais was conferred with the award during the international convention held at Agra, to mark the contribution of Indian Social Service Association (ISSA) in the educational sphere, since the past 40 years.

He has served as vice president of ISSA and editor-in-chief of gazetteer of ISSA. 

He is also serving as president and secretary of Mangalore Social Science Association and secretary of managing committee of ISSA.

At present he is also the research guide with Annamalai and Kamaraj University.  Over the years he has also authored 11 books on social science.
