Kundapur: Valedictory Function of Ten-day NSS Camp held

Kundapur, Nov 2: The valedictory function of the ten-day camp was held under the auspices of Gangolly Saraswathi Vidyanilaya College unit of NSS in John Almeida PU College, Nada near here recently.

Sadashiv Nayak, secretary, Gangolly Saraswathi Vidyalaya group of educational institutes gave the valedictory speech. The function was chaired by the principal K Nityananda Vaidya of GSV PU College.

Suguna, NSS project director, Satish M Nayak, taluk panchayat member, Prof Mohandas Shenoy, principal, Nada College, Sylvester Almeida, correspondent of the College and Aravinda Poojary, president, old student association were the chief guest on the occasion.

On behalf of the participants of the camp Amitha, Divyashri, Rakshitha, Sharada and Prashanth shared their experiences in the course of the ten-day camp.

A series of talks on different topics were held by the resourceful persons like Prof AC Tunga, Subrahmnya Padukone, journalist K Shivanada Karantha and Subhas Chandra Shetty, lecturers, Philip D’Silva, the Karnataka bank official, Upendra Prabhu, the president of the forum of peoples awareness, Satish M Nayak, taluk panchayat member and Shreesha Kumar.

The camp participants leveled the College playground and cleaned the bushes and such other wild plants that had grown around the College campus. The lecturer RN Revankar welcomed the guests and the camp official Sujayeendra Hande compered the programme.
