Mangalore, Dec 3: BIRDS (Belagaum Integrated Rural Development Society) is marked with dedication and mission which has implanted the ideals of community development, Juliet CJ, head of department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, said.

She was delivering the inaugural address during the inaugural of local unit BIRDS, held at the Samaj Bhavan, Sooterpete, Valencia here on Sunday, December 2.

The members should understand the goals and objectives, in order to focus on training and enhance their skills. They should try to include other students in large numbers.  The students are called upon to develop the zest for achievement, thereby make efforts to realize the dreams into reality, she suggested. 

It’s the few who bring about changes.  The numbers are insignificant while the striving to achieve the set goals is essential for the members of BIRDS he suggested.

Raghavendra Holla, chief of human resources development, SEZ, presided over the function and Dr Mohan Singhe, lecturer, Srinivas College was the chief guest present at the occasion.

Srinivas BH, convener, BIRDS, welcomed the gathering. Balesh T, secretary, BIRDS, briefed about the association.
