Udupi: Yeddyurappa Prays at Sri Krishna Temple

Udupi, Aug 4: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa offered prayers at Sri Krishna Math/Temple here on Sunday.

He was felicitated by Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji of Paryaya Puttige Math at the Madhwa Mantapa.

Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Math and Raghumanya Tirtha Swamiji of Bheemanakatte Math were present.

The Chief Minister then visited the Puttige Math on Car Street.








Speaking at the divisional-level meet of women volunteers of the Hindu Seva Pratishtan on the math premises, Mr. Yeddyurappa said women’s organisations could play a pivotal role in implementing the various government programmes. The Government was giving priority to solving the problems of rural women.

The Bhagyalakshmi scheme was aimed at providing financial and educational security for female children, he said.

Later, Yeddyurappa visited the new office of the district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party at Kadiyali here.
