Mangalore: 'Walk for Health' to Panjim on Aug 15

Mangalore, Aug 14: Don Bosco College, Panjim will launch the 'Walk for Health' programme from here to Panjim on Friday August 15.

Thejomaya, former president, Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) will flag-off the programme, involving this walk covering 410 km, at Mangalore Circuit House at 6.30 am. The programme is assisted by the department of Goa Tourism, said Kennedy D'Silva of Don Bosco College at a press conference here.

He informed that the team consisting of six members will reach Panjim by Tuesday August 19 noon. There is an open invitation to all to join the walk, aimed at to bring awareness on the importance of walking to maintain health. The team will distribute handbills which contain information on the importance of walking.

L Kalvekar of the department of Goa Tourism was present at the press conference.
