Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Aug 14: The Corps of Detectives, which has taken over investigations into a case relating the death of Padmapriya, filed an application in the court of the Udupi chief judicial magistrate on Wednesday August 13, seeking one-day police custody of the main accused Atul, for interrogating him.

As the lawyers are on strike protesting against the alleged manhandling by the anti-naxal force personnel, of a group of lawyers on a pleasure trip to Sirimane Falls, advocates representing Atul could not file any objections, it is learnt.
