Mangalore, Aug 15: Four persons were critically injured when a fishing boat rammed into a ship in the Arabian Sea on the night of Thursday, August 14.

The injured have been identified as Tanishkan (34), Jameson (29), Salairaja (40), and Karmel (60)). The fishermen from Tamil Nadu, working for a local fishing company, have been admitted to a city hospital.

Sources informed that the ship was on a port call to the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) harbour and the fishermen in the boat were busy fishing. Of the nine fishermen on board the boat, five were injured while the rest escaped unhurt. Panambur police have registered a case in this regard.
