Bangalore: REWABE Celebrates Independence Day with Cheer

Bangalore, Aug 16: Residents’ Welfare Association, Bangalore East popularly known as REWABE  has been in existence since 33 years celebrated India’s Independence day on August 15, at the centrally located 'Milton Park' maintained by REWABE on Milton Street, Cooke Town under the able Presidentship of Vaidyanathan & the team.



The chief guest of the function Professor Dr J W Sabhaney MBBS, MD from Nimhans, has many achievements to his credit such as Wing commander, AMC IAF (Retd), Senior Consultant Neuro-Psychiatrist, Psycho Analyst & Psycho-Therapist & so on hoisted the national flag. 

President welcomed the gathering & briefed the activities of the association right from the installation of the new team for this financial year. In his address Dr Sabhaney applauded the residents’ attendance & active participation & conveyed the message of every citizens’ responsibility towards the nation.
Vice President Jessie Rodrigues proposed Vote of thanks.



Two ‘Sanitation Awareness’ rallies led by Vice President Jessie Rodrigues / Secretary Jayathe Mudhaliar and President Vaidyanathan / Immediate past President Abraham  along with the students of Maria Niketan High School NCC Wing. Committee members & members of REWABE participated in large numbers in this rally.

The rallies conveyed the message with slogans to the residents of the area to take utmost care regarding garbage like reuse of the plastic bags, segregation of plastic items from the other waste etc. with placards & banners.
