Udupi: Relay fast - one lawyer collapses

Udupi, Aug 17: Rohitaksha, a lawyer who was participating in the relay fast called by the Udupi Bar Association at the District Courts Complex here, collapsed and was admitted to the District Government Hospital here on Saturday.
The lawyers are demanding immediate action against the Anti-Naxalite Force (ANF) personnel who allegedly assaulted two Udupi lawyers at Kigga in Chikmagalur district on August 9. They began their fast on Friday.
In a press release issued here, association president Mattar Ratnakar Hegde said that the strike would continue on Sunday. The association would hold a meeting on Monday to decide the future course of action, he said.
