Bangalore: 2 MLAs may Join BJP this Week

Bangalore, Aug 18: One or two more sitting opposition legislators are likely to join the BJP this week. According to BJP sources, the party top brass is keen that the “Operation lotus” be revived to coincide the party state executive meeting scheduled to be held in Bangalore from Tuesday.

“It all depends on the willingness of the legislators,” the sources said. The BJP is said to have approached former minister and Congress MLA (Gurumitkal) Baburao Chinchansur and JD(S) legislator (Hukkeri) Umesh Katti to join the saffron fold this week.

The BJP has already roped in five legislators - three from the Congress and two from the JD(S) - to its fold.
The legislators resigned from their membership to the Legislative Assembly and joined the BJP. Three of them - Anand Asnotikar, Shivanagouda Naik and Balachandra Jarkiholi- have since been inducted into the ministry

Expenses for the by-election must come from those who resign and join other party and must not be allowed to contest from the same constituency. Tax payer’s money is for the development of the country/state and not for the by election of these cheats. Whatever the rate they got from the buyer can be utilized for the by election expenses, definitely not the tax payer’s money.

The BJP which was alleging the horse trading at the centre is luring the other party MLA's with its sheer money power. The changing of parties should not be allowed and fresh elections are to be called when ever some MLA decides to switch the loyalities.
