Mangalore, Aug 18: Kaup Divakara Shetty, president of Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited has said that the revision of Nandini milk price has been temporarily postponed.

In a press release, he stated that Federation had earlier decided to hike Rs 2 per litre with effect from August 18 and pay Rs 1.50 more per litre to the milk producers. People need not pay the revised price for the milk.

Sources said that it is in the wake of intervention by the animal husbandry department which asked the KMF to put its decision on hold.

It looks Revanna`s popularity has declined. The inflation is temporary & if the milk price hiked by Rs.2/-it can be rolled back. Yedurappa`s decision not to increase is highly appreciable. Let, other parties learn from BJP in the interest of people of Karnataka

Raising the milk's price by KMF director Revanna has no meaning at all but to give bad name to Yediyurappa's Govt.I think Revanna's days in KMF office are numbered.
